When running workshops or speaking at organisations, I often hear that Senior Management have set goals or have expectations for their staff relating to performance. However, for the employees, if they have little interest in achieving these goals or cannot see 'what it is it for them' then it simply will continue to just be a dream or a goal in managements mind!
The positive feelings of hope, belief, certainty and expectation are fundamental to the achievement of any goal, whether it is personal or organisational. When you are able to feel the expectation of your desire becoming your reality then you have successfully closed the gap on receiving what you want. However, the key is 'receiving what you want' and how many employees want to experience or receive a goal that has been set for them? For example, let's say you have a goal to increase staff engagement to 75%. You put a plan in place and start to work on making it happen. Unfortunately, unless you also work on your employees underlying beliefs that it can or will happen and it will be a positive experience then it is not likely that you will achieve that 75% target very soon! The key is to 'close the gap' on the goal and reason why your staff would want to expect or believe it. Lisa Phillips is an International Speaker and Confidence Coach based in Sydney. I am delighted to share the news that Amazing Coaching is moving! (It is all a bit scary actually!).
Many of you know that I am originally from the UK and have spent the past sixteen years living in Sydney, Australia. Prior to this, I also spent several years working in Europe, USA and living in Singapore for 12 months. I founded Amazing Coaching back in 2000 and the good news is with all your support, it has grown into a wonderful experience for me which has included not just coaching, but TV and radio appearances, awards and exciting speaker engagements both here in Australia, internationally and also on Cruise ships around the world. In the past few years, I have felt the need to change location and therefore am moving back to the UK in February 2017. Nora my cat is also travelling with me and I am sure she will enjoy the central heating and open fires that the UK can offer! My plans in the UK are open and currently include speaking on a cruise from Dubai to Barcelona, volunteering in India with an organisation that combats sex trafficking and slavery and also a trip to Alaska and the USA. My passions always lie in the upliftment of those I have had the pleasure to work with and as an avid traveller, I am keen to further my horizons not just in the UK, but all over the world. The good news is that I am excited to be open to any adventures and opportunities that come my way so if you would like to get in touch about running a workshop or speaking in your city, wherever it is – please feel free to contact me! I am literally open to anything that feels good! I have placed my order with the universe and I’m excited to see what unfolds for me. For all my lovely loyal clients here in Australia – I will also be continuing with Skype Coaching sessions – I will just have to get used to getting up in the small hours of the morning! I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you of my new online training modules that will be released early February. I am excited about the launch which will cover topics such as:
Finally, a big thank you to every one of you who has supported me over the past 16 years. This newsletter started with only a couple of subscribers and now over 5k people receive this newsletter every month! Thank you all again for all your love and support. |
